  5. Robert says:

I think I have to agree with Guido on this one. It does read as French flag (horizontally flipped). Nice image nonetheless.

Guido and Robert, good point. I was trying to keep it simple with the stark red, white and blue, free of any icons like stars, eagles etc. I certainly understand your notes on the inverted french flag, much appreciated feedback.

  11. Joe says:

Although I’m glad O won when I saw the campaign funding between the two my stomach started to hurt.

    Obama – $350 Million spent
    McCain – $85 Million spent

    Nice poster!

  12. Juliana says:

James, we’re so tired of your shit. It’s the same old thing over and over again…
Why don’t you get real? Do you think that doing the same thing over and over will set up you style signature?

    Amateur.

Juliana, I have always created art that I enjoy creating with no greater motive then that. The internet is a big place, so with due respect why not go find something you enjoy?

  16. lau says:

    Sacré français ! ;-)

Juliana : o_0 maybe you can go in another place to find something you like ? no ?

  17. Shad says:

James, I like this version a lot better. I think it really defines a win for democracy and for Obama. And that’s coming from a McCain supporter.

Love your style and art, keep doing what ya love man.

  18. james says:

Much appreciated, Shad. Thanks a lot for the kind words.

  19. BogDinamita says:

I don’t think it looks like France. I mean then it could look like Netherlands rotated 90 degrees. Anyway, good job, and hope things straighten up for you Americans;)!

  20. William says:

James, I absolutely love it. The positive thoughts from around the world are much appreciated.

  21. Michael says:

James, your work never ceases to amaze. Even in this election cycle where design was a dollar a dozen, there were clearly some standouts like Shepherd Fairey’s iconic design and Scott Hansen’s image.

I tried my own take at a congratulatory poster as well. I’d love to hear from you and the rest of the community what you think…

I thought this looked familiar, also I see you supply the HiRes download for free. So by someone else printing this then selling the print wouldnt really be a crime …..then of course a moral issue might be another question.
